melinda passed away last june 13, 2007 in a vehicular accident. this was relayed by grace guzman. it was strange though. that night of june 13, i had a tricycle ride to the bus station, thru melinda's brother. actually i was not sure at first if he was her brother (coz we grew up in the same neighborhood) but i just had this urgent feeling to ask him about her. i introduced myself and he recognized me too. i asked him of melinda's whereabouts, and also to extend my regards to her. this was past 9:30 then. i guess my 'pakumusta' never reached her. - rupert mateo
